Next Workshop Dates: March 24 - 25, 2018
Introduction: This two-day course will concentrate on repair procedures unique to French pendulum clocks.
What you will learn: The course will consist of both lecture and hands-on components. Lectures will discuss replacing pivots in hardened arbors, as well as the design of different size movements including recoil & dead-beat escapements, time trains, and count-wheel & rack-snail strike trains. Students will disassemble and repair their own movements or simply practice the assembly procedure.
What you will need:
Clock movement (IMPORTANT!!!): Students need to provide their own complete French pendulum clock (time/strike movement) for repair.

Tools: Everything you needed in prerequisite courses should be brought by each student.
Note: In addition to course registration, a lab fee of $20 will be collected on the first day of class to help defray the cost of Chapter tools and student materials used in the workshop.
